Mandatory retro-reflective equipment

It is now official: drivers of motorcycles and scooters over 125 cm3 and motor tricycles over 20 hp must wear retro-reflective equipment, under penalty of a fixed fine of 68 Euros and a withdrawal of two points!

The Ministry of the Interior has just published in the Official Journal Decree, specified by a decree of 3 January 2012. Relating to retro-reflective equipment is that will be mandatory, from 1 January 2013, for drivers and passengers of motorized two-wheelers of more than 125 cm3 "or of a vehicle of category L5e with a power greater than 15 kW.”

Not required for cycle and 125

Specifically, if it is aimed almost exclusively at MP3 drivers, this obligation does not affect - for the moment - riders cycles and 125 cm3. This is surprising enough, because of their smaller size and less powerful lighting, cycles, and 125 are even less visible than the big cars...

According to our information, it is explained in particular by the fact that these vehicles circulate mainly in urban areas, where fatal accidents are fewer. On the other hand, the users of mopeds and 125 have already been sufficiently "cooled" by the previous decisions of the IRB, with respectively the technical control and the training of 7 hours. It is a safe bet that this obligation will extend in the future to every two and three wheels regardless of their displacement, following the same pattern as the wearing of the helmet and safety vest.

Is my jacket compliant?

According to the decree published today in the Official Journal, retro reflective equipment may be "in one or more parts" but must imperatively "be of a total area of not less than 150 cm2.”

Waiting to see on our roads - with some perverse impatience, let us face it! - The "forces of the order" to release their meter of tailor, it is thus necessary to measure precisely all the retro reflective parts of your current jacket to know if it will pass the bug of 2013. If the retro-reflective equipment is not in conformity, it will be necessary to change the jacket, or to "superimpose one by any means" if it is "worn on the upper body, with the exception of the helmet, from the belt to the shoulder line, so as to be visible to other road users ".

Clearly, a retro-reflective armband of 30 cm by five threaded on the sleeve will do the trick ... which is curiously not the case of the one distributed to journalists by the Ministry of Transport! With its 25 cm by 5.8, the official armband "Road Safety all responsible" is simply not consistent...

The obligation to wear a fluorescent vest is also valid for cyclists

The Interdepartmental Committee on Road Safety (IRB) of February 13, not only decided to make mandatory the presence of a retro reflective safety vest and a warning triangle in each vehicle, cyclists are also concerned to a lesser extent.

Based on the principle that bicycles are equipped with low-intensity lights, making them often not very visible at night, especially outside built-up areas, the cyclist and his prospective passenger will have to wear a retro-reflective yellow or orange vest as of October 1, 2008. It is advisable to wear it all the time, but the wearing obligation is only valid outside the night, or also during the day when the visibility is insufficient.

While cycling has developed strongly and encouraged for energy reasons, this measure comes into play when the number of fatal accidents naturally falls sharply. Indeed, in 2007, 60 cyclists were killed in the city and 82 outside urban areas, a decrease of 21.5% compared to 2006 (conversely, the number of injuries slightly increased by 2.7%).

While we can only congratulate ourselves for wanting to bring down the dead on the roads, the mandatory nature of this measure once again underlines the safety drift that tends to secure our daily lives. Nevertheless, 'reassure us', nothing like that still seems to be planned for what comes out of our exhaust pipes, is spread in the fields, is in our cosmetics, etc. The essential is therefore safe, we will always have our daily dose of pollutants and industrialists, and other farmers wearing reflective clothing can continue their small business without fear of fines.

Street art works stolen by fake municipal agents

The City of Paris will file a lawsuit against X for usurpation of function and damage to the image of the city against a group of thieves who is currently attacking frescoes of street art in the streets of the capital. They pretend to be municipal agents with wearing reflective vest.

The City of Paris has decided to file a complaint against X for usurpation of function and damage to the image of the city against a group of thieves who is currently attacking frescoes of street art in the streets of the capital city. These frescoes called "invader,” the name of the artist who poses them, are now part of the Parisian heritage. These are small critters made from mosaic tiles or tiles. Crossed in the corners, at the corner of the boulevards and avenues or hidden in the alleys, they are multicolored or in black and white.

In yellow vest, equipped with a ladder

While the artist Invader is a regular at discretion - he lays his frescoes at night and often masked - the thieves currently raging do not take as much precaution. They act in daylight, with a fluorescent yellow vest on the back, at the top of a ladder, with orange pads around the stage, to give the impression that a technical intervention is underway. Moreover, for good reason, they do not hesitate to explain to who wants them to intervene on behalf of the city hall of Paris.

The hunters in safety vest hunted on the wild boar

About 60 hunters in safety vest stalked wild boars near the populated parts of Labem today. Animals have grown in the city and often run into settlements. Hunters annually blast about two thousand pigs; 15 years ago, it was a quarter, said ČTK vice-chairman of the district hunting association Vaclav. The hunter wants to motivate the town hall to bury the animals in the town, for every bumped pig will contribute 300 crowns.

The hunters gathered at one of the dominant of the town, Marians, just a few dozen meters from the housing estate. They also focused on the part. To blast pigs out of hunting, the hunter must have a municipal permit. According to Surety, they will evaluate the safety of hunters. "All hunters are experienced people, they have a firearms license, and they have to guess the situation, basically it's up to them to shoot or not, they all have reflective vests and they should see," said Sutra.

After splitting into three groups, pigs chased. "Part of the people goes into the swarm, that is, they surround the whole territory, they are at different intervals and try to hunt the game that is coming out of the water, and there is a place where animals are detained, and there are deer hunts and hares. The game is not hunted at all, because it is already protected by the dying game.

The Stucco hunters have solved problems with wild pigs for about 30 years. Initially, the animals were only in the outskirts of the city, and now it is not unusual for them to appear in the center. For example, in April, a group of wild swans ran up to the city center, one of them arriving at the clinic. In the place, the vet killed him, and the other animals were gone.

"People can often do this on their own, and when they throw away food outside the bin, the pigs feel it, of course, and then they get into the city," said Roman, another hunter. Unanimity is that bureaus and authorities are burying them. "There was a time when shooting a backyard, but her chicks did not get enough food in the wild and, of course, they also retreated where they can eat easily," Juanita added.

According to hunters, wild pigs are mostly shy. Throughout the day, they seek peace not only in the forests, but also in the bushes. Dangerous are either injured animals or piglets with piglets. If a person hits a backyard, he should slowly back away. In most cases, according to the hunters, only the young will pass. The game will end up according to the gamekeeper on the plates. "The game must be examined on the muscles and then distributed to the hunters," added Sutra in safety clothing. There are six hunting clubs in Labem. For the sowing of the wild pigs, each of them can get up to 10,000 crowns, so the town hall has a maximum of 60,000, the deputy mayor Panel said earlier.

The safety of pedestrians in traffic

Today we have a current topic for you - the safety of pedestrians in traffic.

Reflective clothing - reflective clothing becomes mandatory in certain situations for pedestrians in the Czech Republic. A pedestrian - walker must then wear a safety vest – reflective vest, a reflective stripe - reflective tape or other reflective elements on clothes. In addition, that applies in the dark - dark and in rain - rain or fog - fog on streets, which have neither sidewalk - footpath nor lighting.

Reflective clothing is made of a material that reflects light, the light coming from a headlight, that is, a reflector. The reflection significantly increases the visibility - visibility of the pedestrian, and therefore motorists - overlook, do not so easily overlook it.

Reflecting means reverberating - to reflect, a reflection isreflection. A reflector is therefore called reflector. In philosophy, the reflection reflex means the perception of one's own mental activity, sometimes it is used as a synonym for reflection - thinking and reflection - reasoning. A consideration is called in Czech treatise or reflexes.

To reflect on something – reflective material on something means to be interested in something - be interested in something or to apply for something - apply. So much for today. Next time we talk about the reflexes. Hear for a week!

The car collided with the "invisible" pedestrian

On Sunday morning, a passenger car in the darkness of the pedestrian hit the road I / 13 at the bus station in Most. It happened the day after the law began to apply to the pedestrians moving along the road outside the village to wear reflective vest.

"The breath test eliminated alcohol from the driver. For the pedestrian, the alcohol test could not do because of his state of health, "said regional police spokesman Alana. Whether the pedestrian was marked by reflective elements is not clear. The police did not investigate the extent of their injuries.

Reflective elements provide people with better visibility. Drivers are able to see the pedestrians in a timely manner and thus avoid them. If a pedestrian is not visibly marked, he can get a fine of up to two thousand crowns. No such penalty for the weekend in the county fell. "The policemen did not notice anyone so badly in their patrols," Bartok said. Crash in Most is an example of why pedestrians should be better seen. "It's a high-speed road where pedestrians have nothing to do," the police spokesperson confirmed.

There was no special police action at the weekend for pedestrians. And the hunt for those who are not properly marked by reflexive elements is not yet ready. Only preventative actions are prepared to explain people to the news. The police will also distribute the reflective tapes to be clipped on the side of the body that is nearer to the roadway.

The information campaign will be held throughout the region this week. "We will focus mainly on seniors - pedestrians. He confirmed that the police would be lenient at first and badly marked pedestrians. "First of all, we will deal with offenses more informally, explain people than give us fines. However, it also depends on how the person will react. If he can explain it, because he did not know about it or whether he would be arrogant, "said Oak.

The police are about to give out a quarter of a million reflective tapes across the Czech Republic. However, people can make the necessary markings themselves. It can be found in sports stores, for example - flexible reflective tapes cost about 40 crowns, and flashing LED bracelets are for 150 crowns as well as reflective vests. Always pedestrians will go cheaper than fines, regardless of possible tragic consequences.

There is a big difference for the driver when he sees a dark-dressed pedestrian at the last minute or when he sees it at a distance of 200 meters thanks to the reflective element. The headlight can be seen even for 400 meters, a recent MF DNES test showed. Just last year, 72 people died, who were not able to see the road as a pedestrian at night.

BESIP distributes 100 thousand reflective tapes by April

Prevention is also targeted at BESIP, which is part of the Ministry of Transport. "Together with the BESIP shelf, reflective vest are distributed to people for free. Since the beginning of the year, nearly 15,000 have been donated. Furthermore, the Czech Tourists Club will give 10 thousand reflection elements, for example. At this year's Moto salon in Brno, 10 thousand will be handed out, "said Tomas Neola, spokesman for the Ministry of Transport.

During March and April, BESIP plans to hand out 100,000 of these items.

From the new duty of shining, some municipalities also promise to limit prostitution. The women waiting on the road tend to refuse to reflex reflective tapes. "We believe there will be more controls and the presence of the police discourages potential customers from stopping prostitutes," said MF DNES deputy mayor in Nomo Robert Vanes.

For example, in Vipers, prostitutes now control more. "In our cadastre, we stand on the outpost to the border where we can use the controls. I see another sub-lever in that, "said Peter Majorly, Chief of Police at the local police.

The police presidium, however, claims that its people are not specifically targeted at prostitutes. "As a rule, the police do not as a rule investigate the reason for the pedestrian on the road during his / her activity in relation to road safety. It is important that the purpose of the law is met and that the pedestrian is sufficiently visible to other road users. The purpose of this legal regulation was certainly not to fight prostitution, but to make pedestrians more visible, "added the spokesman Josef Boca.

You have three times the chance at night with the reflex tape

They have tested whether the reflection element can actually save life for pedestrians. It turned out to help surprisingly much. The walker with the strap is seen three times as far away as a pedestrian in ordinary clothing. Therefore, the driver gets valuable seconds to react.

One would say: a plain striped belt. When I kept him at dusk in the alley, I almost doubted he was going to do something for me. However, in the darkness that only the reflectors of the car brighten, the belt suddenly shines. The Ministry of Transport and Traffic Police jointly suggest that all the pedestrians who are in poor visibility on the edge of a street where street lamps are not lit (more here) should wear the belt the following winter. The relevant law has already been drafted, and it approved by the Ministry in the second half of the year.

Do you think introducing mandatory pedestrian reflexes is a good idea?

Together with the camera operator, we took three measurements. We started by trying to see how far the driver of an unlit pedestrian can see. Followed by a two-piece reflex tapes experiment wrapped around the sleeve and around the foot. For the third time, I put on a reflective vest, which is used for example by roadmen.

The precursor to the current head of the traffic police played in the interviews with the idea that the pedestrians should wear a vest. At the first attempt, I went like an illuminated figurant on the sidewalk, and the camera operator in the car had to stop now he saw me. Then I used the mobile and GPS app to measure the distance between my position and the car. We verified the distance by stepping.

It was just before eight o'clock in the evening, not yet complete darkness. We were told we had seen 50 meters in front of the car, and it was because it was only blushing and I had the red pants at the same time. These are better than dark. The second attempt took place with the reflective strip a few minutes later in the regular darkness. A measured distance of 147 meters was shown on the mobile display. It came to me that the car is from a safe distance from me.

The exhibition for reflective traffic signs

The artist in reflective clothing and former sprayer Epos 257, who left his hidden identity not only from his youth, but also the instincts of a street hooligan, exhibits in the National Gallery. The first exhibition institution had the space of the corridor of the Prague Trade Fair Palace, a place that communicates directly across the street through the glass wall.

Even though Epos 257 is a graduate of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, he exhibits in established galleries, and even became involved with the "establishment" when he represented the Republic in 2010 in Shanghai. His work, however, still keeps street grip and criticism. The Exhibition in the Trade Fair called Retro-reflection, which will last until June 4, is slightly subversive. This Thursday, April 20 at 17:30, a commented tour will take place.

The theme of the exhibition is the traffic signs, namely the Z3 brand marking the sharp turn that the artist has mapped throughout Prague. Then he made a copy, and the original tagged them for them. "I worked for Retro-reflex for more than three years. I often travel through the city landscape, drive through it, walk on foot, map its terrain, and collect partial artifacts. Retro-reflection sign is a map of road signs that have become symbols of my city, "says Epos 257.

However, the main exhibit of the exhibition is not physically present in the Palace. A giant reflective mosaic made from stolen - and replaced - brands hangs on the facade of one of the apartment buildings. However, visitors to the exhibition see it through live transmission and accompanying documentation.

The exhibition also includes an orange reflective vest, which the author of many street interventions considers his most important work piece. "The orange vest works in the public space as an operating permit. Although it is strikingly colorful, a person paradoxically becomes invisible, "says Epos 257, which derives its pseudonym from the paragraph of the Criminal Code, which until recently defined the damage to a foreign matter. It therefore refers to the artist's spraying history.

Add some extra reflective vests in car on vacation

Do you make a holiday car? Add some extra reflective vests instead and learn the specifics required by local regulations. Even if you are in a dispute with a foreign police officer (who often does not have to speak otherwise than "your" language) the truth, do not let your vacation spoil unnecessary conjecture.

European auto clubs warn that police officers are preparing for a sharper regime for the summer. According to Aldrich Vanier, the president of AMK, he will focus on strict adherence to road traffic rules. "For example, it will focus on speed limits, driving under the influence of alcohol and other addictive substances, safe distance, technical condition of the vehicle, or poor parking," warns Vanier. In Slovakia, since the New Year, you will not have a common highway mark, but an electronic vignette that you buy either on the border or on the web (details here). In Slovakia, penalties for speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol, other addictive substances, and the like have also been tightened.

If you do not have a motorway mark in Austria, a passenger car will be fined 120 Euros and 65 Euros for motorbikes. "There is a fine of 200 Swiss francs in Switzerland for the absence of a motorway. In Slovenia, fines are even higher. There you pay 300 to 800 Euros (21,600 crowns), but if you pay on the spot or within 8 days, the amount is reduced by up to half, "says Vanier. In addition, watch out for attempts at lower penalties to be seen by the yellow vest dressed police in Slovenia as an attempt at corruption. As in the Czech Republic, fines are also threatened by the fact that you have an old invalid highway stamp.

Old cars are not allowed to Paris

From 1 July, they have a low-emission zone in Paris, where vehicles with an emission class of Euro 2 and below cannot. Entry forbidden for them is valid from Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm. The penalty for entering the ban is set from € 35 to € 78, but the collection starts only from September 1. The emission zone system has been in Germany for many years, it is necessary to have a special plaque corresponding to the emission standard on the windscreen. You can find it in the Czech Republic and Germany (there is cheaper than in the Czech Republic).

"In France, there is also a new ban on the use of headphones when driving, whether it is a bicycle, a motorcycle or a passenger car," warns Aldrich Vanier, the same ban applies in Greece. In France, a tester of alcohol is mandatory, just the old tube with a balloon. In France, they sell them on petrol. If you do not have it, you will not be fined for Vanier, but it is a threat that the police officer in safety vest can get you out of the road.

Police in safety vest stopped over seven hundred drivers

Last year, police officers on the roads stopped 708 drivers who were under the influence of addictive substances, of which 393 had a drink of alcohol, and 99 motorists exceeded one per mile, thus committing a criminal offense under the influence of addictive substance. Another 216 drivers had a drug-positive test.

Police officers in safety vest stopped two drunken drivers over the weekend. On Saturday, January 6, a 54-year-old man passed through Nipomo during the night. In his breath, the patrol measured 0.65 pro miles of alcohol. The next day, a 36-year-old cyclist was riding a bicycle ride in Remittal. The instrument display showed a 1.6-pound test on the breath test. Both drivers were banned from the next ride and now they will be mistaken for the offense.

How does road control actually work? Every driver of a motor vehicle is required to have the prescribed documents, including a valid driving license, a small technical passport from the car, a document proving motor third party liability insurance, a certificate of professional competence, a medical certificate (persons over 65 years of age). For roadside inspections, the patrol verifies the vehicle's technical condition and may check required equipment, including: warning triangle, reflective vest, replacement electric fuses, spare bulbs, jack, wheel nut, spare wheel or tire repair kit.

Police in safety uniforms also conduct a breath test to detect alcohol. If the result is positive, it is repeated after five minutes to ensure the objectivity of the measurement. If a value of more than 0.24 per mile or the presence of drugs in the saliva of a driver is detected, a driving license detention procedure is initiated. The motorist is advised during the inspection that if he refuses to undergo an examination of influencing alcohol or other addictive substance, he commit an offense for which he is liable to a fine of CZK 25,000 to 50,000 and a ban on activity for up to two years.

Reflective motorcycle clothes - necessity or fad

Autumn is coming soon and the weather will not allow for frequent and long trips on a single track as if we wanted to. Driving after dark and in the dark will become an everyday necessity. It was then good to be visible and to see others. It is not necessary to explain the legitimacy of applying glare - this is how the article would start, but it will not start, if only because translation is necessary, especially among motorcyclists.

Although it often arouses mixed feelings, it is extremely lucid in this matter - the threat of a lack of visibility is enormous and if a well-chosen reflection makes its owner visible on the road from a distance of up to 150 m, its absence means that it will be visible only from a distance of 30 m! Research on the causes of accidents involving motorcyclists clearly indicate that people wearing reflective elements are exposed to an accident by 37% less frequently than people who do not wear any reflections. The helmet itself, in white, light or painted with reflective paint reduces the possibility of taking part in an accident from 19 to 24%.

Autumn is coming soon and the weather will not allow for frequent and long trips on a single track as if we wanted to. Driving after dark and in the dark will become an everyday necessity. It was then good to be visible and to see others. The stories quoted below have indeed happened last season, but they can be dated to any autumn or early spring evening. Way from school to home. 7pm. It is already very grayish, and with the background of an unlit roadside, two pedestrians and one cyclist merge. Their jackets glow in the dark with reflective fabric. "Oh, look! At last, people have thought about safety and wear reflections! Well, unless it is motorcyclists... "Of course, my statement works one hundred percent. If someone "shines", means - a motorcyclist. However, is it always? ... In practice, 120 m dividing the visible and invisible motorcyclist may be the only difference between a motorist alive and dead...

There are many criteria that must be met by motorcycle clothing - as a rule; it must be pleasing and well protected. In addition, how is it with visibility? How much do we pay attention to reflective elements? After all, they also increase our safety. David L. Hough, an authority in the field of motorcycling for many two-wheelers, in his book Motorcycle Player Perfect mentions how important it is to wear flares by people moving on a motorcycle. Hough plays a special role for beginner motorcyclists, but nowadays, especially in Poland, where the weather does not spoil us, regardless of the internship, it is worth investing in one's own safety.

Although there is many reflective clothing on the market, it is most often associated with a green or orange vest - banned by a large group of motorcyclists. Hated, but until recently treated as the only option to improve our visibility, especially on long journeys. It was difficult to deny its raison d'tre. Increasingly, however, professional motorcycle clothing is equipped with reflective elements. We do not have to think about the vest at the time, especially since the location of these reflections is thoughtful, so that the clothing looks aesthetically and does not scare large parts of reflective material, while also performing the function of reflecting light.

The boys rode straight into the car's wheels by bicycle

Two 14-year-old boys were hospitalized in the Lodz region last night with serious injuries. The boys rode on one bike without safety vest and fell under the wheels of a 19-year-old who was passing by.

The accident took place around 20 in the municipality. Two 14-year-old boys were riding on one bike; one of them was sitting on the vehicle's frame. They moved along the left lane of the road, in the same direction the pony Fiat driver was driving - says Barbara from the police in Pocono. The driver saw from the distance a red light point; he was convinced that it was walking. It turned out, however, that they were boys riding a bicycle without any high visibility vest. At one point, the bike came off the side of the road directly under the Fiat wheels. The driver did not manage to brake and collided with the two-wheeler - he reports.

Both 14-year-olds were hospitalized with serious injuries. They are in a difficult condition. Fiat driver was sober, his car was secured for technical tests - says Shape. The police are appealing to adults to pay attention to children riding alone on busy roads. For their safety, remember to wear reflective vests, their bikes are properly lit and, above all, to comply with traffic regulations.

Protect children safe return to school

On Saturday, police officers from the District Police Headquarters together with the Carrefour supermarket and firefighters, reminded children about the basic traffic rules and general safety rules.

The beginning of the school year is an opportunity to give children and teenagers a few comments on safety. After the summer vacation, the youngest often forget about the basic safety rules, as well as about the dangers lurking on them every day.

That is why on Saturday, September 2, police officers command together with fire brigade officers and the Carrefour supermarket, on the square in front of the store, carried out an action under the slogan "Safe return to school." Police officers explained to the children how to behave during the road to school and how to cross safely the road or rail crossing. The officers reminded about safety rules while cycling, in the car, and on the bus. They also observed children and adolescents against contacts with strangers. A very important element enhancing road safety is wearing retro-reflective elements, which was called by law enforcement officers during conversations with students and their parents. During the action, children received pendants, vests and other reflective elements, which the Carrefour market gave to them - reports the younger Bowen, spokeswoman for the policemen.

A big attraction for the youngest was the display of equipment that is on the equipment of the police and fire brigade and the possibility of entering the wheel of a police car or fire engine.

- We hope that thanks to such actions, children will be able to avoid situations posing a threat to their health and life and behave in an appropriate manner in crises - sums up a police spokesperson.

It is worth noting that from Monday, social prevention officers began a series of meetings with the youngest students and teachers about staying safe while walking on the road, passing through belts, wearing reflective vest and other situations related to the road to school.

Mandatory reflective vests for every pedestrian

From September 1, every pedestrian walking after dark outside the built-up area will have to wear reflective clothing or a headband. According to statistics, about 1,000 pedestrians and cyclists die in Poland on dark roads every year. From September 1, everyone moving around at dusk along roads in the unconstructed area will have to have visible reflective elements. Janus Dulia from the slip road in Sups should be extended by unpublished areas, including built-up ones, because many municipalities cannot afford sidewalks and illuminate the village all night long.

From the beginning of next month, however, we will be looking closely at pedestrians walking on roads outside the city. At the beginning, we will be instructing those undisciplined, but then punishing them with fines - says the deputy head of the road department of the command. What are the mandates? The new provision on the need to wear reflectors is not yet included in the tariff. Until this happens, we will issue fines on general terms, from PLN 50 to PLN 100 - he adds to the poke. However, it is not about the level of seats, but about the safety of pedestrians. Many people note that in the minds of pedestrians and cyclists, especially those of adults, there is no need to wear reflectors.

- There is a terrible fashion for black. People rarely ask for reflective vests. When I order yellow or red panniers for a bike, they lie for months, and customers ask for dark ones - says Mikoyan from the bicycle shop. The local government was planning to take care of the reflective education. At the meeting in the City Hall, representatives of the office, municipal guard and neighboring municipalities, police, organizations for the disabled and the elderly took the floor. They talked about statistics. In addition, so far, the words ended, because the Arabesque association, which initiated the action, did not receive ministerial money. It is different in rural communes, where the risk of an accident on an unlit road is much greater.

- There were tragic situations with us. Near a village administrator died on an unlit road, and at the exit from the national six to the car hit a cyclist. Fortunately, the construction of safe exits has already been won there - recalls Pawed Lewandowski from the Commune Office in Dominica. - We have been campaigning for the safety of our children a year ago, together with "Gomes Somoza,” as part of which all the first received safety vests and comic booklets. Older urge us to wear flares, distribute them at festivals and harvest festivals to tell the pulpit about road safety.

Firefighters gave students their reflective vests

Firefighters gave students their reflective vests. Dressing them during evening exits will improve security. Students from the Primary School in Plenary visited the drums from the local unit of the Volunteer Fire Brigade.

In a festive gift, they brought reflective vests for all pupils and children from the kindergarten. Preschoolers received safety vests with a smiling face, and other students with the OSP Plenary logo. OSP vice president Macaw Krupp urged children not to forget about wearing vests because they can save health and even life when going out in the evenings on busy streets.

It is worth introducing a fashion for wearing reflective waistcoats, and adults should pay special attention to children's safety on the road and shine the example themselves - say the Dramas.

Pilot jacket, ENAC clarifies the requirement of high visibility

The new version of the regulation on remotely piloted aircraft by art 8 paragraph 8 obliges the pilot to wear a high visibility jacket with the words "pilot of APR" to be immediately visible and recognized. The term high visibility has made many think that it is necessary to use a jacket according to EN ISO 20471: 2013.

FIAPR took an interest in the matter and today announced that ENAC has specified that it is sufficient to use a reflective vest similar to that used for emergency stops of cars as long as it has the appropriate wording.

In the note, the Italian APR Federation adds: "the reflective jackets conforming to the EN ISO 20471: 2013 standards concern those aimed at a different purpose than that foreseen for the pilots of SAPR, for which in our case it is NOT necessary to refer to this standard."

"Reflective harness for mushroom": the bill by Angelo

"Avoiding or reducing as much as possible the occurrence of accidents during the hunting season, it is due to the lack of recognition of people who are in the woods looking for mushrooms. Through a high visibility reflective vest that they will wear and that will make them more visible even when there is a need to find them in case of loss.”

This is the content of a bill presented by Angelo, leader of Forsa Italia in the Liguria Region. "In light of the latest events that have occurred in our woods, I thought it necessary to propose an amendment to the Regional Law of 2014 that regulates the collection and marketing. With the adoption of a reflective harness, the seekers would have the possibility of being visible from long distances, clearly reducing the risk of being hit in a manner accidental, as recently happened, with tragic implications, in the Municipality".

"The reflective harness - continues the regional councilor - would also have another important purpose: to facilitate relief if there was the need to find a lost person in the woods, another event that often happened. For all these reasons, which are designed to protect both mushroom and hunters, I have prepared this bill and safety vest, which would provide the delivery of the harness to the fun aioli by the bodies responsible for issuing the card or by the searcher himself.”

"Safety during the hunting season must come first and this change to the existing law would be a piece to make it more concrete," concludes the president of the council group Forsa Italy.

The total safety equipments to SLRC police

As part of the coordinated work and friendship ties between Yuma Police Department and the Preventive Police and Municipal Transit, the Arizonan corporation delivered tactical safety equipment, informed the graduate Julio Csar Valenzuela Murrieta.

The Commissioner General of Municipal Public Safety indicated that the donation consisted of tactical equipment, helmets and safety vests for road operations, which will be of great support for the different preventive tasks performed in this population. He thanked the Arizona authorities for the donation of the equipment, but mainly for the coordinated work that is done to maintain security on both sides of the border.

He recalled that a close relationship is maintained on issues of recovered stolen vehicles, arrest warrants and other crimes. In the same way, the police chief recalled that prevention actions are promoted, such as warning children and young students who cross the border daily to go to school, this to avoid being used and tricked into carrying drugs in their backpacks.

Julio Csar Valenzuela Murrieta thanked the Yuma Police Department and the Sonora-Arizona International Police organization for their support, especially the liaison officers of the Arizona Department of Public Security, Cedillas, and Miguel Castillo. The Spanish company Services has expanded its catalog of products with the manufacture of a new version of its full mesh openwork vest CHS-5, approved under EN ISO 20471 CLASS 1, as a perfect solution in High Visibility vest for summer.

The characteristics of this new garment are the use of mesh openwork yellow, orange or red, all fluorine, combined with thick fabric tape above and below the horizontal reflective band, the latter of 3M, sewn one horizontally and two vertically from front to back, passing through the shoulder.

As in the entire range of SS, this garment can customized with reflective logos and manufactured in various sizes. The CHS-5 vest completes the extensive range of High Visibility garments of this Spanish manufacturer, whose textile range is not only focused on AV clothing, but also orientates its productions to the corporate image of its customers, making garments that combine colors, designs, logos, trimmings ...

In addition to these developments, the catalog of products manufactured by this Spanish firm is completed with all kinds of reflective vests and breastplates, harnesses, sleeves, gaiters, belts, windsocks and helmet tapes, as well as a variety of modules, texts and logos made of fabrics and reflective sheets, for application in garments, vehicles and road signs.

Services and Security has been a pioneer in the homologation of high visibility garments. Already in the 80s bet on this sector, when its founders, then specialized in the field of road signage and emergency vehicles, began to manufacture protective garments High Visibility.

Although these first articles today would not comply with the existing regulations, they have been able to adapt to the new requirements of EN-471: 1994 to continue being pioneers, obtaining the certification of their vests as High Visibility garments in May 1997.

Fines that can put you even with the car stopped

Speeding or driving while using your mobile phone is two of the most common causes for which you can receive a traffic penalty. Also with the car stopped we can be committing an infraction, and not only for having parked in a forbidden zone.

There are many fines rules for keeping the road safety. These fines are more common than it seems, so from the blog of the insurer Catalane Occident remind us of some behaviors that we will have to avoid in order not to be fined.

For example, most drivers do not know that it is not allowed to wash the car on the street, or make any repairs. If we do, we risk a fine that can be symbolic or very important, depending on the municipality in which we have our residence.

At the gas station, improperly refueling can represent a fine of 200 Euros and the withdrawal of 3 points from the driver's license, since it cannot be done with the lights on or the engine running. The same thing can happen if you have the radio on or the mobile phone while doing this operation. When you go off car without wear high visibility vest also will get fines.

The bad state of the registration of your car can also cause a fine, even if you do not drive. Any sign of deterioration or dirt that prevents the correct identification of the car can be the cause of a fine of 80 Euros. If you have changed your home and have not notified your new address to the Traffic Department, you can also receive a penalty. It is a simple and free to process, so it is worthwhile to notify the DGT and avoid fines.

The motives of fine of transit having the stopped car are very numerous, and include also getting off the car without the corresponding reflective vest, what can represent a sanction of 200 Euros and the withdrawal of 3 points of the driving license. Remember that you must also place the corresponding signaling triangles.

Pedestrians received safety vest due to the traffic safe

The campaign of the DGT and the Xansa includes awareness talks aimed at older people in the centers with more black spots for pedestrians.

Person over 65 years of age, dressed in dark clothes walking near his house on the shoulders of secondary roads, without a reflective vest and crossing outside the pedestrian crossings. It is the most common profile of fatalities due to abuses in Galicia, one of the blights of accidents in which the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) focuses its awareness campaigns. So far this year five pedestrians died in the community hit by a vehicle, which means in just two months 35% of the 14 fatalities of all 2015. None wore a safety vest, so from Traffic have decided to strengthen awareness of passers-by on the importance of making drivers visible with a joint campaign with the Xansa that includes the distribution of 2,000 vests during this year -400 before Holy Week- and talks in the town halls, especially in those that concentrate more black spots of abuses. It will be an informative campaign in which it will not be fined, although in the cases of repeat offenders "other measures will have to be taken,” as warned yesterday by the government delegate in Galicia, Santiago Villanueva.

Last year, the Traffic Department designed a risk map of abuses that included 50 municipalities. As explained, yesterday the lieutenant colonel, the actions in the most conflictive nuclei with the reinforcement of the surveillance. Or the improvement of the infrastructures explain that in the current map only five municipalities repeat - despite the fact that the total figure is around 50 again when analyzing the 170 serious and minor abuses of 2015. According to Villanueva, the causes that explain the high numbers of abuses in the community, although - the 14 pedestrians without wearing reflective clothing who died in 2015 are three less than the previous year and 72% below the 50 registered in 2005.

How about install radars in private cars

After a pilot test in Normandy, its presence will be generalized in September; they will circulate without identifying and will be almost undetectable. France privatizes radars as it sounds: these days a pilot test starts in Normandy whereby civilians in safety vest will drive the radar cars. What until now was an exclusive task of the security forces, happens to depend, in part, on the citizens.

The objective seems to be that in September the service is completely outsourced. Right now, in France there is a fleet of 400 vehicles with built-in radar, with an average of one hour of operation per day. Agents are missing so that the cars do more kilometers.

When the service is privatized, it wills probably double the number of cars and these will circulate up to eight hours a day. Obviously, the direct consequence will be an increase in the number of sanctions. The Government, however, justifies its decision by ensuring that it will be able to generate more employment and that it will not pay drivers based on the fines they impose. No spokesperson for the Directorate General of Traffic has wanted, but sources of the (DGT) ensure that, for now, "this solution is not even raised." "Two weeks ago, the Interior Minister presented a series of measures to reduce the accident rate and this was not among them," they add the same sources.

The idea of the French Government is that civil mobile radars, in approved cars, operate under these conditions:

•Camouflaged. They will be completely undetectable. The clinometers will be very inconspicuous and only the driver will go inside, without a uniform or a reflective vest.

•Fines in movement. The vehicles will not hide behind the hedges or park on the shoulder. The sanctions will always make them move.

•Send the GPS. Drivers cannot choose the route they want. The cars will incorporate a GPS in which the itinerary will be set by the Administration.

•Sign recognition. The radars themselves will integrate cartography and will have registered the maximum speeds of each road. It will be an automatic service.

In Spain, currently a fleet of 300 mobile radars is monitor the road both in motion and stationed. The legislation does not oblige the DGT to signal its presence, but fixed radars are always identified and mobiles are increasingly identified.

Apart from fixed radars, tripods and guns, in Spain there is a fleet of 275 mobile radars integrated in vehicles. They wear safety clothing and are not always in operation, because a percentage of them are usually under repair at the Institute of Metrology, and the DGT does not offer data on the number of hours that remain in circulation. What it does indicate on its website are the sections where surveillance is intensified, although that does not mean there are no radars in other places.

Cirque du Soleil assembles the tent with wear safety vest

This Thursday, July 13, they lifted the iconic blue reflective material and yellow tent from Cirque du Soleil in the Port of Asuncin. Approximately what will be the stage for the Mauna show, the flags of the artistic group wave, in addition to the national pavilions of Canada and Paraguay?

The expectations of the process; journalists, photojournalists and reporters received a helmet and reflective safety vest on arrival at the construction site.

For the first time in Latin America, and with the support of the Municipality of Asuncin, the participants accompanied and experienced the visual and technical deployment of the facility, which will last for 8 days.

The invitation to meet behind the scenes and preparations for the circus was made weeks before. The Company Head, Amelia Lavoie, was available during the tent installation, for interviews.

Flags of Cirque du Soleil, from Paraguay and Canada, wave on the property.

The awning has capacity for 2,600-seated people, who will witness the magic of Mauna on Wednesday July 26. There are reflective signs for the guiding.

Five steps to act correctly if you have a breakdown on the road

It is necessary to illuminate the vehicle that represents an obstacle in the road or to place the reflective triangles only when safety conditions allow it. In 2016, road mishaps increased by 16% compared to the previous year. A few situations that make many cars an obstacle for the rest of the road users, so a car parked on the road must always be signaled as quickly as possible.

In order for this action to be carried out without jeopardizing the security of the occupants of the stopped vehicle and being carried out in an appropriate manner, the startup Vitoria Help Flash has summarized some of the keys to action:

1. Move away so as not to disturb: Whenever possible, the vehicle should be stopped on the shoulder and act calmly so that the emergency is as dangerous and uncomfortable as possible. In case the road does not have a shoulder, it is best to leave it as far as possible on the right side, bearing in mind that it is necessary to avoid exits of curves, changes of grade or areas of poor visibility.

2. Activate the emergency lights: If the fault occurs on the motorway or highway, in low visibility conditions or between sunrise and sunset, in addition to turning on the emergency lights, the position lights will also start up, and in its case, those of gauge. However, much of the damage to the vehicles is electrical, which makes it impossible to use warnings and wired devices, so the vehicle will not be visible to other drivers. To avoid this type of situation, it is necessary to have a luminous device that allows the car to be signaled without having to have an electricity point.

3. Put on the reflective vest: Once the vehicle has been placed in a suitable area, the regulations require the driver to put on the reflective vest before getting off the car. A rule that makes it essential to always keep this garment inside the car. Also, and although it is not mandatory that the rest of occupants also wear with the vest, if they do they can avoid possible abuses.

4. Place the safety triangles: This is where we enter one of the most unknown terrains for most drivers, not only when calculating distances, but also in their obligatory nature. Many people who sit behind the wheel do not know that, in case of immobilization of the vehicle due to breakdown or accident, it is not obligatory to use the pre-signaling triangles if the conditions of visibility or traffic prevent it or are not safe.

When the conditions of circulation allow its use, the law forces to place the triangles 50 meters from the damaged vehicle, that is to say about 80 steps. However, this obligation will be such only when from that point it can be visible at a distance of 100 meters (twice the distance that separates us from our vehicle). This separation will guarantee greater safety and allow other drivers to react in time and move with caution before reaching the height of the obstacle. This circumstance usually occurs when the damaged vehicle stops at a grade or a curve, where it is advisable to place it at the beginning of the section.

5. Be safe and ask for help: Once the vehicle has been signaled with reflective material, it's time to get safe. Both the driver and the occupants must not be in an area where they do not distract the rest of the drivers, nor do they pose a new obstacle, and always off the road.

In addition, it is time to ask for help. It is important to identify yourself and the more detailed the information provided, the greater the probability that the services will arrive as soon as possible, both to attend to the injured and to remove the damaged vehicle from the road and to restore circulation.
